The Road

Without even a pause to think about it, there is a ton of movies, songs, etc. that (mostly) exalt or(occasionally) denigrate life on the road.  Let's review In no particlular order of highbrowedness

On the Road-Jack Kerouac
The Road Less Traveled-Robert Frost
On the Road Again-Willie Nelson
On the Road Again-Canned  Heat
Road Movies-Thelma and Louise, Bob Hope and Bing Crosby, Harold and Kumar...

In my case that road so often leads to New York City ( I Guess the Lord Must Live in New York City-Harry Nilsson) and I even think I know why.  It allows you to be the true you, the best you, the you that you don't have to defend or be embarrassed about.  The you that puts the swagger in your walk. I like that swagger.
